But if you reset the google pop settings (get all messages), you will get everything again including the emails you previously sent from the mail client. For IMAP: quite better than POP3 specially because it updates the messages status on the web interface. with POP3 I end up with 100s of unread messages on the web. Check your Settings Page for "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" Google POP3 gets your sent email messages too, so it might be a good idea to add a filter to move them to your sent directory if you still want to use Google POP3.
